The colours of Russian Orloff
There are currently 5 standardised colours in Large and Bantam in the UK Orloff Breed Standard: Black, White, Spangled, Mahogany, Cuckoo and Black Mottled. The Spangled is the most popular in both Large and Bantam.
Any other colour not on the above list is classed as a NON-STANDARD colour, this means that it is not standardised by the Poultry Club of Great Britain in our current Breed Standard. The most recent colour to be PCGB Standardised is the Black Mottled in May 2016.
NON STANDARD colours can be shown if classes are scheduled for them, the ROS has allocated Non Standard classes at the National and the Federation shows, with several good examples of Black Mottled being exhibited at both shows over the last year.
